Quality 5" stainless steel Western barrel racing bit made by Showman. This is just like the famous Tender Touch bit only at less than half the price! It has the wrapped copper on the mouth piece and the lifesaver ring in the middle. This is a sliding mouth piece and the total length from the top to the bottom of the side is 7". This bit is designed for the horse with a sensitive mouth. The slightly longer purchase on it is to add control and supple turns. This bit work on corner of the mouth with the pressure on the poll and curb area. Used alot for barrel racing. This bit can be used on an intermediate horse or a green horse as well.

I tried one of these bits on my young green horse. He is usually very prancy and does the crow hopping all over for the first 20 minutes or so whenever I ride him. I put him in a really nasty high port correction bit for awhile but I don't like using bits like that. Someone told me about this bit and I got one and tried it on him and he is like a different horse. I started out doing just a steady pressure on him whenever he started his dancing around. As soon as he stopped I released the pressure on the reins immediately. Within about 5 minutes .. only just around the corner from the house he dropped his head and relaxed! I was shocked at how quickly he learned to relax after all the work I put into this horse and all the different bits I tried! I am definately sold on this bit.
